Infant incubator parameter sensing & monitoring through wireless technology

In this paper, we proposed an infant monitoring system to reduce the potential risks for Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS). This system can be used for infants at home or in a hospital nursery room. The system consists of carbon dioxide (CO2) sensors and active Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology. A commercial metal-oxide based CO2 sensor was chosen and characterized in sensitivity, selectivity and humidity dependence. A proof-of-concept system, to be used for two infants in the same room, was designed and assembled.

The RFID transmission was accomplished with a wireless module at two different operating frequencies. The results are promising. A method for further practical applications in a large nursery room is also discussed in details in this paper. In our proposed system, the transmitter is in the sleeping mode and will be waken up only when its sensor circuitry sends an alarm signal or the base station sends a request to receive sensory data.

The alarm signal of each infant is the ID designated for the crib. The sensory data sent inborn disorders; we might need to examine the CO2 concentration in their exhaled air regularly and frequently. Besides the alarm signal, we multiplex and transmit all sensor signals along with the infant’s ID for diagnosis purposes. At the receiver side, an alarm will be triggered as soon as an alarm is sent by the identified transmitter while the server starts to record the data

Wheel chair for disabled person using robot

This project presents a robotic wheelchair for the disabled persons. The body-supporting device for handicapped person is characterized as two sets, first set of two rigid segments, each mounted on the backrest by an articulated system which blocks the segment in a vertical orientation as armrest or horizontal orientation, and the second set has two cradle elements, adapted to be immobilized in the same horizontal plane in alignment to form open leg guards fitting over the front of the persons legs.

The wheelchair is controlled by means of remote. Using this wireless communication, a virtual network can be created. This eliminates the complexity of wired networks and suits well for short distance communication.  The wheelchair is protected by sensors. So this application can be extended for the blind persons.

ATM card theft indication system will consist of IR based ATM cards, when the ATM card is used to take money the corresponding information is stored in the personal computer via microcontroller, in the system data of corresponding ATM is maintained and updated at the same time it will be message to the corresponding person. Electronically implimented ICU care taker project – life support system using RF with BP & Heart beat monitoring system

Heart beat rate can be monitored by using electrode, controller and display. Electrode act as sensor which is placed in finger. Our heart beat must be 72 per minute. An increase or decrease in this value will be considered as abnormal condition. The temperature sensor is provided to sense the body temperature of the patient. The output of both sensors is given to microcontroller through Signal Conditioning Circuit. When the patient is in abnormal condition the microcontroller will transmit the RF signal at 433.92MHz. The transmitted RF signal is received by RF receiver and this value can be monitored by doctor in a remote place. The alarm circuit is provided to indicate the abnormal condition of the patient.

In our project the robot is designed to move automatically. The robot acts according to the command given by the program. It will move all the direction like forward, reverse, right and left. Electronically Automated green house status monitoring and control system project

a method of power saving where the power is automatically shutdown when the unit reaches the desired set point. In the receiver end the data are retrieved by using RF receiver. We are using the PC for the monitoring purpose. The controller is connected to the PC through interfacing unit. The PC consists of VB application for monitoring.

Multisensor strategies to support blind people : A Clear- path indicator

In this project of “Multisensor Strategies to Support Blind People: A Clear-Path Indicator” we propose a system which can detect obstacles for the blind people. In this new system we increase the range of the operating device to about 40 to 240cm which is possible only through obstacle Sensors.  Here We are using ultrasonic sensor for detecting the obstacle. Ultrasonic Receiver  is placed in the spectacle. And the transmitter placed in the walking stick. When the obstacle detect the receiver receives the signal from the transmitter. And indicate by voice. Two sensors are placed in the right and left side of the stick. For any obstacle detected we warn the person through Voice Board which gives warning for left and right side.

Advance communication effectiveness for the physiological information monitor system based on ZIGBEE

In this project, we are monitoring the physiological information of the patient. The physiological sensors can be used to measure the bio signals of the patient and send the data to the control center through ZigBee wireless communication. The control center takes the role of coordinator in the ZigBee network. Additionally, the control center can display the physiological information from each monitor device and send them to a PC of information server using RS-232. Improvement of ZIGBEE mobile router for supporting network mobility in healthcare classification

In this project we measure three parameters Blood Pressure Sensor, Pulse Sensor and Temperature. These parameters are received as analog value and they are converted to digital using ADC.  The output is given to the Microcontroller and are connected to ZigBee Transmitter using RS232.

            In this Receiver section the ZigBee Receiver is connected to the controller via RS232.  These human value parameters are monitored (i.e. Blood Pressure, Pulse and Temperature) via LCD Display.

A wireless data acquisition and communication system tracking

This project describes the effective usage of wireless communication between the Mobile sensing units and the central servers the remote terminal unit continuously scans for the presence of mobile sensing devices which transfers the data from the sensors through an embedded controller.

Our Project “Dynamic Incorporation of ZigBee Home Networks into Residence Gateways Using OSGi Service Registryconsists of making intelligent home network gateways by ZigBee. Here ZigBee coordinator is a ZigBee node that controls and manages the entire ZigBee network and associated devices. And it also acts as a sink node of WSN that receives data from sensor nodes.
            In the proposed architecture, each deployed ZigBee sensor or device periodically sends a packet containing its profile to the coordinator to announce itself. On the receiving end ZigBee network controls the home appliances in accordance with the wireless sensor network.

A novel carrying out of flood measurement for a conducting liquid

This paper describes a novel technique for the measurement of the flow of a conducting liquid. This project is using for the industrial side. Generally the flow rate of a conducting liquid is measured by the electromagnetic flow meter. The electromagnetic flow–measurement technique is much easier and less costly compared with the other measurements.
The experimental characteristic of the flow meter is found to follow the theoretical equation and has good repeatability over the entire operating zone. The measured flow rate is displayed through LCD display. This project is use to find out the density of the given liquid and also to find out the filling time in a tank, especially used in petrol bunks, etc.

On- body inertial sensing and signal processing for scientific evaluation of tremor


The temperature sensor, eyeball sensor, heartbeat sensors are fixed on the human body for inertial sensing. The sensed signals have been monitored through personal computer for clinical assessment. Corresponding Sensed signals in the form of physical values are converted into digital values using analog to digital converter which is given as input to the microcontroller. In this controller we are keeping some threshold value if determined value is exceeds buzzer will indicates that the corresponding person gets conscious. Implementation of a CAN based digital driving system for a vehicle


The project describes the development and implementation of a digital driving system for a semi-autonomous vehicle. CAN communication protocol is chosen to realize the objective. The main issues to be considered for the control of a vehicle are speed control, fuel monitoring, temperature monitoring inside the vehicle, pressure monitoring of the vehicle tyres ,engine pressure and the driver-vehicle interface.
A vehicle was generally built with an analog driver-vehicle interface for indicating various parameters of vehicle status like temperature, pressure and speed etc. To improve the driver-vehicle interface, an interactive digital system is designed. A microcontroller based data acquisition system that uses ADC to bring all control data from analog to digital format is used. The function of any solar charge controller is to allow charging current to battery bank till it is charged to its capacity and prevent it from getting overcharged.
The basic element converting sunlight into electricity is solar cell made out of silicon material. A solar cell generates approximately 0.6 volts open circuit voltage and 30 MA/sq. Cm. short circuit current under Standard Test Conditions (STC). To have  building block of practical utility, 36 numbers identical solar cells are connected in series to make a module suitable for charging 12volts battery. By putting them in series and parallel arrangement, required voltage/current/power levels can be generated.
The sunlight being available during the day only, so SPV array provides DC electricity  during the day. power from the array varies with variation in the sunlight falling on the  modules, so the power required during low sunshine hours and at night calls for energy  storage, which is invariably a storage battery. the solar insolation falling on the array varies from day to day and the ration of average insulation in the best month could be as high as 1.5 to 2 times of that received during lean month. Accordingly there may be  battery getting overcharged if not checked. To guard against such an undesirable occurrence, a charge controller is require for an SPV system.

GSM based intelligent speed monitoring for vehicles


The aim of the project is to warn the driver about the increase in vehicle speed with a beep and if neglected, it is reported to the highway patrol (control room) through GSM.
The transmitter is fixed to the vehicle which consists of Speedo meter to detect speed of the vehicle and GSM modem to transmit the vehicle details to the patrol.
When driver exceeds the speed 60kmph, the Speedo meter detects it and informs the microcontroller to beep the buzzer only once with displaying corresponding message on the LCD screen. If the driver continues the same and speed increases to 70kmph, then the Speedo meter once again informs the microcontroller to beep the buzzer twice and displays the corresponding message on the LCD.

This is a latest project in the robot industry. This particular vehicle will recognize the words and then it is programmed to perform the actions as per the words matched.  This project can store about 10 words each of 1.5mili second duration.  Then in the run mode the microcontroller recognizes the words received by the condenser mike and then matches with the words stored .If it matches any of the words then the computer gives a data to the microcontroller using the RF transmitter.

A head set with mike is connected to the computer sound card. When the software is running the person who wants to control the vehicle has to speak in the mike e.g. LEFT. The software will capture the sound and convert to text and send the text to the serial port. Since a RF transmitter is attached to the serial port the data is transmitted to the vehicle.  The receiver in the vehicle will receive this wirelessly and match with the data stored in the microcontroller. The microcontroller with the help of the motor driver circuit will drive the respective circuit and perform the operation.

Remote billing of energy meter/water meter using GSM modem FOR VTU


The aim of the project is to automate the billing of energy meter and water meter. In
this project the front end is User friendly and the employees can work on this software with minimum knowledge of Computers. Employees can read the meter by sitting in the Office.
In this project the micro controller & the GSM unit is interfaced with the Energy meter/water meter of each house. Every house has a separate number, which is given by the corresponding authority. The GSM unit is fixed in the energy meter/water meter. The amount of consumption is stored in memory authority as SMS. Using this software we can send the SMS through Modem to that particular number which is assigned by these authorities and wait for the response. On other end the modem will receive the data in the form of a command and informs the controller to do the readings. After the readings the controller will send data to the modem. Modem, in turn sends data to the other end. In the office the GSM unit will receive the data and calculate the amount on LCD display. The number assigned by the authorities is Unique. Using GSM we can get the response very fast due to which time is saved. RTC is used to get the time. Memory is used to store the amount of units the user consumed. After sending the Readings to the Main server the Microcontroller will resets the memory to get the fresh readings.

FIRE FIGHTING ROBOT FINAL YEAR PROJECT


The main aim of this project is develop a Robot vehicle which will find out its lane using metal detector with fire sensor. This vehicle doesn’t need a driver and any control signal. Hence this can be implemented where ever routine work for has to be done for a long time. The cost of the robot is low.

If fire occurs in the path, then Fire sensor gets activated and sends message immediately to control room and vehicle stop there only.
