Implementing CAN/ZIGBEE GATEWAY/ROUTER for automotive applications


The main aim of the project is to implement the CAN-ZIGBEE gateway protocol. In this project we are using three PIC microcontrollers, in which two are connected to each other to the CAN bus via CAN transceivers and the other is connected wirelessly through zigbee to one of the controller.

           The Node 2 and Node 3 are connected to the sensors, Node 2 is connected to the Node 1 through Zigbee, and it keeps sending the updated value of the sensors. Node 2 is acting as the Gateway controller. It converts the CAN protocol to the Zigbee protocol and sends the data to the node 1. The node 1 controls the device status accordingly and displays the value
on the LCD.
