Remote car lock using RF signal

The aim of this project is to develop a remote locking (door, ignition, steering) system for automobiles using RF signals. Nowadays some high cars only have this kind of remote lock. By using this remote we can lock all the doors, ignition and steering quickly. So we can save the time in this. And some time if we forget to lock all these things, no need of go to near the car. Just press the appropriate switch, the receiver end will do the corresponding operation. The cost of this project is less. So we can implement this project in lower end cars.
Why we choose radiofrequency technology: rfid readers do not require a direct line of sight to either active rfid tags or passive rfid tags. rfid tags can be read at much greater distances; an rfid reader can pull information from a tag at distance up to 300 feet. rfid

FINAL YEAR ENGINEERING PROJECT ON Voice based vehicle automation

This is a latest project in the robot industry. This particular vehicle will recognize the words and then it is programmed to perform the actions as per the words matched.  This project can store about 10 words each of 1.5mili second duration. www.embeddedkits.in Then in the run mode the microcontroller recognizes the words received by the condenser mike and then matches with the words stored .If it matches any of the words then the computer gives a data to the microcontroller using the RF transmitter.

This Voice reorganization vehicle can be used in industries, or for exploring planets or as a maidservant at home or offices.  This vehicle uses a voice to text software to recognize the voice from the human beings. A RF transmitter is attached to the microcontroller. A head set with mike is connected to the computer sound card. When the software is running the person who wants to control the vehicle has to speak in the mike e.g. LEFT. The software will capture the sound and convert to text and send the text to the serial port. Since a RF transmitter is attached to the serial port the data is transmitted to the vehicle.  The receiver in the vehicle will receive this wirelessly and match with the data stored in the microcontroller. The microcontroller with the help of the motor driver circuit will

Plant moisture meter

This project will help the formers in irrigation for proper water supply to the plants in right proportion by sensing the moisture level in the soil.
Here we are using a moisture sensor, which is connected to the micro controller and there is a seven segment display to display the moisture level. The moisture senor rods are immersed in the ground. ADC (analog to digital converter) is interfaced with the moisture rod; this ADC produces respective analog values for the values transmitted by moisture sensor. The microcontroller is programmed in such a way that voltage flow from the ADC is calibrated for the moisture level and displayed on the 7 segment display. When there is more moisture in the soil the voltage from adc is more since the current conductivity in moisture sensor is more and when the moisture level is less the

Remotely the system allows owner to monitor and control his automobile via mobile phone set by sending commands in the form of SMS messages and receiving the locking system status. The hardware architecture consists of a standalone embedded system that is based on 8 bit microcontroller, an interface and a driver circuit connects

Implementing CAN/ZIGBEE GATEWAY/ROUTER for automotive applications

The main aim of the project is to implement the CAN-ZIGBEE gateway protocol. In this project we are using three PIC microcontrollers, in which two are connected to each other to the CAN bus via CAN transceivers and the other is connected wirelessly through zigbee to one of the controller.

The Node 2 and Node 3 are connected to the sensors, Node 2 is connected to the Node 1 through Zigbee, and it keeps sending the updated value of the sensors. Node 2 is acting as the Gateway controller. It converts the CAN protocol to the Zigbee protocol and sends the data to the node 1. The node 1 controls the device status accordingly and displays the value

Industrial automation and monitoring system

In this industrial automation and monitoring system, all the plants furnaces and machines are fixed with sensors to capture temperature, pressure, vibration etc.
As the plants, furnaces and machines will be fixed in different places we should do a wireless network to communicate with all the sensors fixed in different plants and furnaces. For this wireless communication we use Zigbee protocol and technology to obtain a best result.
We use single board computers to collect sensor information and send to the master equipment. Master equipment is the server which monitors each plant for different parameters like temperature, pressure, vibration etc. If the received parameters are more than the allowable value then the master or server system will send command to the control

The main aim of the project is to design and implement the CAN protocol for automobile application.
On executing the program , when the Fuel level crosses the set limit the buzzer goes ON thus giving the indication to the User and the same is also displayed on the LCD. Similarly the temperate is also displayed and when the voltage crosses the limit the same is displayed  on the LCD. The s/w for the same has to be designed and developed

CAN Based real time implementation for industrial application

The main aim of the project is to design and implement the CAN protocol for industrial application.
In this project we are using 3 CAN IC or even 4 Can IC also can be used depending on the application. These are connected to the CAN transceiver as shown in the block diagram below. The master is then connected to the PIC microcontroller. In the PIC we use the C language to read the data from the micro controller while the micro controllers use either the C cross compilers

Signature Verification based on global features

Biometrics is a verification system that identifies a person based on his physiological and behavioral features. Signature verification is the biometrics identification method which is legally accepted and used in many
commercial fields such as e-business, access control and so on. In this project we proposed a robust offline signature verification based on global features to identify forgeries. In this model prior to extracting the features, we preprocessed the signature in the database. Preprocessing consists of normalization, noise reduction and thinning, for feature set extraction whics consist of global features such as signature

Implementation of AIR BAG sensor using CAN protocol with GSM Technology

The main aim of the project is to implement the air bag sensor with the gsm technology using CAN protocol. In this project we are using three PIC microcontrollers, which are connected to each other to the CAN bus via CAN

AMD 2901 Core

  1. The four-bit bipolar microprocessor slice is designed as a high-speed cascadable element intended for use in CPU's, peripheral controllers, programmable microprocessors and numerous other applications. The microinstruction flexibility of the AMD2901 will allow efficient emulation of almost any digital computing machine.
Most small processors today are being designed using a technique called microprogramming. In micro programmed systems a large portion of the systems control is performed by a read only memory (usually PROM) rather than large arrays of gates and flip-flops. This technique frequently reduces the package count in the controller and provides a highly ordered structure in the controller, not present when random logic is used moreover, microprogramming makes changes in the machines instruction set very simple to perform-reducing the postproduction engineering costs for the

Car AC control using CAN protocol

The main aim of the project is to control the AC depending on the window status and the fuel level in the car by using CAN protocol .

In this project we are using 2 CAN IC or even 3 Can IC also can be used depending on the application. These are connected to the CAN transceiver as shown in the block diagram below. The LCD, Window switch buttons and the AC main switch are connected to the NODE 1 of the network. The AC and the Fuel level sensor are connected to the NODE 2 of the network. In general, we know that the AC in the car is effective only when we close all the four windows of the car and we also know that AC consumes fuel. So this project is designed and developed to rectify such problems. The function of NODE 1 controller is to check the status of the AC main switch, window switch buttons and the fuel level in the car. If the main switch of the AC is ON, all the 4 windows of the car are closed and the fuel level is above the limit only then the AC which is connected to the NODE 2 goes ON else it is OFF and simultaneously the status of the AC, Fuel level and the windows is displayed on the LCD.

Co-operative communication with OFDM

Transmit diversity generally requires more than one antenna at transmitter. However, many wireless devices are limited by size or hardware complexity to one antenna. Recently methods known as cooperative communication has been proposed that enables single antenna mobiles in a multi-user environment to share their antennas and generate a virtual multiple-antenna transmitter that allows them to achieve transmit diversity.
In this project, we designed of non-cooperative Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) and Cooperative-OFDM communication system and comparing the performance of non-cooperative-OFDM and cooperative OFDM. Carrier frequency offset (CFO) mitigation is critical for OFDM based cooperative transmissions because even small CFO per transmitter may lead to severe performance loss, especially when the number of cooperative transmitters is large. Here, we showed that cyclic prefix (CP) can be exploited to mitigate

Face recognition based on edge detection algorithm with hardware interfacing

The automatic recognition of human faces presents a significant challenge to the pattern recognition research community, human faces are very similar in structure with minor differences from person to person. They are actually within one class of “human face”. Furthermore, lighting condition changes, facial expressions, and pose variations further complicate the face recognition task as one of the difficult problems in pattern analysis. This paper proposed a novel concept, “faces can be recognized using line edge detection”. A face prefiltering technique is proposed to speed up the searching process. It is a very encouraging finding that the proposed face recognition technique has performed superior to the most of the existing comparison experiments.
Computerized human face recognition has been an active research area for the last 20 years. It has many practical applications, such as bankcard identification, aces  control, mug shots searching, security monitoring, and surveillance systems. Face recognition is used to identify one or more persons from still images or a video image sequence of a scene by comparing input images with faces stored in a database. It is a biometric system that employs automated methods to verity or recognize the identity of person based on his/her physiological characteristic. In general, a biometric identification system makes use of either physiological characteristics or behavior patterns to identify a person. Because of human inherent protectiveness of his/her eyes, some people are reluctant to use eye identification systems. Face recognition has the benefit of being a passive,

Finger print recognition and matching with display

Biometric recognition refers to the use of physical or behavioral characteristics fingerprints, face, iris, signature, voice, etc) to determine the identity of a person. In order to use a human characteristic as a biometric identifier, it must possess some requisites such as universality, uniqueness, permanence, acceptability, among others. Due to these requirements, none of the biometric traits is considered the best. Fingerprints are the most widely used biometric identifier because almost all human beings have fingerprints. Besides, they are distinct even in identical twins and even facing temporary changes, such as scars and cuts, they will regenerate in the original pattern.
The methods based in minutiae points are considered the most popular and widely used in automatic systems for fingerprints recognition. Nevertheless, it is a common mistake to consider that automatic fingerprint recognition is a totally solved problem. The extraction of minutiae points is still a complex problem with poor quality images. Besides, another significant challenge is the matching of minutiae points when there is just a small overlap area between the template image and the query image, since there will be just a small set of minutia points in the intersection area. These scenarios, however, are becoming more and more common as the utilization of fingerprints sensors
